Clothes Cabin relies on the generosity of supporters to provide the clothing, linens, and personal items needed by our clients. Because of storage limitations, clothes should be in-season and arrive in smaller quantities. Large volumes of clothes overwhelm our processing area and more of them must be passed on to other agencies. Check them carefully for holes, stains, excessive wear, which make them unusable. The clothes should be clean and neatly folded in small or medium sized boxes or closed bags. Clothes on hangers are difficult to handle when all the processing racks are full.
Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 10am to 2pm at the back door of Suite 10, at 1100 N Alma School Road in Chandler. Donations are also accepted at Friends Resale Boutique on Saturdays 10am-2pm.
If you are unable to bring us your donation during these hours, please request an appointment.
Clothes Cabin generally gets more women’s clothes than can be distributed, but there is a perpetual shortage of:
- children’s clothing in sizes 6 to 14
- new underwear and socks for men, women, and children
- athletic shoes
- maternity clothes
- adult t-shirts (printed shirts are fine, just nothing obscene)
- personal hygiene items
- office supplies and postage stamps
- shopping bags large enough to hold a bed pillow
We are looking for groups or individuals to coordinate clothing drives specific to our shortage areas. You can start a collection at your church, school, business, in your neighborhood, or community group. If you are interested in holding a clothing drive, please read Clothing Drive Guidelines and contact us before you start.
